We picked up route 2 from the C5 at Consdorf.
4.8 Kms.
We were already feeling it with the ups, ups and the downs were not relieving.
You walk up to the crag and stay there. Huge steps, walking through gaps, into sorts of caves, up and down some more.
No water features on this part, but really good that hopefully the photos show, but tiring.
You do get back to the river which was refreshingly freezing with an up to knees paddle, then the ice cream came out which we sat outside the van to eat.
We will be returning here and our TFG tactics would be to drive in, then walk and then go to sankt vith, Rodemack, or Deudesfeld which are free Aires within an hour that we know we can get into dependant upon direction of travel
We would study what is where on the trails and hunt out parking for motorhomes for daytime and be in there by 1100.
We would think about how far we would want to walk.
We would check the difficulty rating of the walk.
Really good day out
