Updated during February 2024 - COMPLETED
Just coming up on 58k, 50k in USA/Canada
MPG 26.6 for total 58k driven.
Adblue??? We've now driven 3,000+ miles on a 9.5 litre can, meaning we have a range of 600 - 3,000+ for the 9.5 litre????
Return route confirmed via Halifax as it's the only port we can ship through that permits the gas bottles to remain installed,
but emptied.
It also means most of the paperwork from the outward trip can be recycled for return saving some work.
Return flights booked: Halifax - Toronto (6 hrs stopover) - San Francisco (7 hrs stopover) - Honolulu: Stopover a bit of a nightmare
but £1000 compared to £4000 to reduce outbound stopover to 3 hrs each not worth it.
5 nights in apartment near Waikiki Beach and Honolulu - San Francisco (2.5 hrs stopover) - London Heathrow.
Next a few State Parks in Louisiana before RV Park in French Quarter of New Orleans 9th - 13th for Mardi Gras.
Generator run for 35hrs so far so in the overall scheme not long but I would still recommend one as it was used when needed.
As mentioned earlier we (I) chose the Hyundai P4000i as it was the quietest @ 53db and would power our portable 2 ring induction.
If you don't have an induction hob then a small kw to to up batteries would be sufficient the db is not a serious issue in US.
US motor Insurance have paid out of rock damage $2,200 less $1,000 deductible so £1,000.
All 3 side panels, fixings etc + labour.
Electric waste valve now leaking significantly from multiple places, not just the pipe, looks like it may be coming apart.
Something to look at while in New Orleans RV Park.
Washed out both Gray & Fresh water tanks again, that's the 3 time since arriving in USA, plan is every 3 months as we are continually
using.
Fuel Bingo
Posted on this before but this Racetrack in West Palm Beach has the full house.
Has E85 as sold in Europe, only seen for sale in a small number of garages in Florida.
Ethanol free is blue in most stations, BP have same colour nozzles as in Europe, Petrol is green, Diesel is black
and Chevron have blue for all petrol and black for diesel.
Even if you select the wrong nozzle, having to press the button or lift a level to select fuel type makes misfiling unlikely.
