Millau stretch

At this moment in time, which is incredibly early, I am posting to see who gets an update and how they get it
I will edit this later.

Both of us were on the knackered side of shattered last night and went to bed in daylight just before 2100 hrs after a pasta dinner.
The cunning plan is get a coffee and a herbal tea for one of us who looks after herself, bit of brekkie and get on with it
We will head to Celles having got some top information about the area from mapman
The route will be get on to the motorway near Cosne which I think is around here then motorway (free) past Nevers and Moulins where we will have a stop for shopping at a huge centre commercial accessed from motorway with one of our favourite shops Action, a sort of upmarket Poundland. Then across to Clermont somehow and get on the motorway down to Celles.
Also ought to add I am getting other local information via messages from funsters living locally from the creation of the map which is the map on page 1.
Should you want a copy of the map then just send me a pm and I can send you a link. There is a thread about it somewhere. It's a Google map so a Gmail address is required but as I get more educated I am fairly certain I can just send the POIs to be converted into whatever system your system takes.

Made early start but TomTom got involved and we have seen pretty much the centre of Clermont.
Wasted a bit of data watching TV the mighty toon stuffing spurs on MOTD2 this morning. Happy days

We missed the entry to the Moulins Leclerc and Action because of roadworks. Looking at what they are doing it is certainly closed for the summer for southbound traffic.

Diesel at Leclerc st Flour was 1.74 (seems average) 51.25 litre for 304 miles which my top of the head maths says 27mpg. Just wondering if I m not in eco mode !
Lunch was at the motorway aire of viaduct de garabit.

So after lunch we trundled down the road with a slow drivers lane on the right entering a tunnel when what I think might have been the front off side wing of a BMW 3 series c2012 was just lying in my way. Quite a loud noise then occurred followed, we reckon, by an expletive or 2 but there was nothing wrong with vehicle but as we were going to drive under the Millau bridge we stopped to take some p

Update on the damage is that have given up totally on trying to find a replacement part in France and contacted my new best mate Chris at reliancecms in Chichester who has ordered it for 230 quid plus labour. So hopefully under the £500 mark.
Part will be 8 to 12 weeks and we LL sort out a date in due course

I drove over the Millau bridge just a few weeks ago. Scary if you don't like heights.
Worth mentioning that it costs nearly £20 to cross it - one way.
