We have been here twice before. 10 years ago on our first foreign trip where we didn't go the waterfall and about 3 or 4 years ago when we think it was a CCP and didn't stay.
It is back to being free with 25+ vans here and room for more. Dump and grey are free.
Before we got here though we noticed what we thought was a belvedere with picnic parking opposite. So we stopped, saw it wasn't too far and made our way up there. It was about 1km but so worth it. Think it was 1250m high. Views all the way back to mont bessou. Tiny church with cow bells ringing and a walk past crosses donated by townsfolk
So down to the free aire and you can look over the plan d'eau at the town and the church in the second one (from the ablutions spot)
Now was the time to locate those waterfalls we missed previously. Only 3kms away.
And luckily there was another, but to access it go past the campsite (on your left) and 350m on the left is ample parking for a motorhome and follow your nose
We can confirm this water is not good for swimming in. Freezing.
And then the fromagerie. Local cheese for Paula and dirt cheap. This lot was just over a fiver
Because we got a bargain on the cheese we decided on our 2nd beer of the holiday and at 2.40 a beer they will be getting our custom (after a revisit to the fromagerie) tomorrow as we head to some natural stone baths, waterfalls and mont dore on bikes (electric, we may be thick but we're not stupid)
We were hoping for a nice sunset as we had one before.
Reckon we got it.
Android phone no gimics as wouldn't know what to do. Point and press photos.
