Luckily I wasn't annoyed by the petrol strimmers at 0730 at Ingolstadt, I was awake, so one of us woke up grumpy but that mood changed after we had paid a euro for a full tank of water and full drinking water containers. Because we were only charged 7.50 euros for our 2 nights. We arrived 0930 and left 0830 47 hours later so maybe we didn't quite make the charging time.
51 minute journey to Kelheim was straightforward and it is pre pay here at 8.50 with leccy a euro for 2kw and water a euro for an unknown amount.
Having read something somewhere we headed for hotel near tennis courts.
Got the bikes out and headed straight for the apotheke to get some mosquito repellent 18.50 euros later we should be good as the apisyl pain removal cream is now busy. But we got the strongest and biggest and the luvvie behind the counter gave me a sweety free of charge.
We picked up literature which appears really helpful for next 3 days from TO.
Then to the walled exit and wiggly bridge
Before finding the flat path up the river/canal that joins the Main (and therefore the Rhine) with the Donau created by Ludwig I
Then we knew about this other wiggly up and down bridge
But had gone too far as I knew of some open caves which needed an explore. But I forgot the torch !
Then crossed the bridge
Before meandering up river taking in the views
And finding uninteresting stuff like an old weaving house
But then we located a brewery with a beer garden. The Riedenburger brewery. Unfortunately not open for cold beer so we used their lovely garden and enjoyed a couple of Rewe beers with a cold pizza lunch.
Cycled a little further up river then wallowed in a swimming lake
But right next to that is a double rodenbahl. 2 summer luges. 4 euros a go or 17 euros for 5 tickets.
So our first entertainment money of 17 euros has been spent. Double ride (me and Paula) then single ride then I got to go in the other one which was very fast but short

We found a beer garden on the way back and we're just going to have 1 but we can recommend Sandersdorf beer !
Another rickety bridge turned up
With more views from my alcohol infused eyes
Which left us with locating the free electric for ebikes station.
And Kelheim looks really good.
