Clères

Having got up north because of the weather, we found ourselves hunting around for something to do but then the wife had a dodgy tummy so cycling and walking too far ruled out.
We decided against Fecamp and Jumieges as we had been there before so Cleres has had a few mentions so off we went.
Satnav took us down a weird route but as soon as we turned into the Aire we both knew we had been here before.
Managed a walk into town to see the indefinitely closed TO and pleasant gardens and the path follows a crystal clear brook with flowery footbridges.
Little else to do as she slept through half the afternoon but monitoring the ins and outs of motorhomers choosing their pitch.
Went for a walk round the football pitch and by the looks of it we prevented an unplanned pregnancy by sitting on the bench shaded from the wind with our coffee much to the embarrassment and annoyance of a young couple.
Boulangerie was artisan and you could tell. Lovely pain today. It was a pleasure to pull it apart. It sounded like good bread !
