Is waving to others free spirits allowed

Hi All,

After many years of owning a Motorhome I have treated myself to a new camper van, but which category does it belong?
Seats yes, captain seats yes, wet room/toilet yes, cooker and fridge yes comfy bed/seat yes, so am I Motorhome or camper van,
The question was do we wave at each other ( when safe to do so) I feel that I’m incognito! Only a few Motorhomers will wave back, and the same with campervans?

I sit on fence or better still I sit incognito in L2K

The one that don't wave back, normally get a chorus of "miserable sods" from us.

I find a lot more wave in the Knaus but few in the PVC and i still feel stupid if they dont wave back .
Ill have to try that saying Misarable sods thing

I wave at everyone in any kind of camper/ Moho ( and Tesco vans in Scotland as there are so many vans there! ) VW camper people never wave back tho, obs a different tribe xx

I was taught, always keep you hands on the wheel wherever possible, so, mostly, just raise my index finger.

In today's world, you never know who's looking, waiting to book yer for 'driving without consideration' as I once was in Surrey, travelling at 10 mph in traffic along the Richmond road, for flashing my lights to a friend in another meeting artic.

Since changing from a motorhome to a van I have noticed very few people wave or wave back. To be honest I am probably more relieved than offended because our roads are now so busy I prefer to concentrate on the traffic rather than the vehicle occupants. I would rather people smiled and said hello when I have parked up.

Play motorhome snooker, take it in turns, so player one sees the motorhome and starts the game, if they return the wave its a red, then you add the colours by the manufacturer, you make your own set, for example
Yellow a Hymer
Green a Knaus
Brown a Hobby
Blue an Autotrail
Pink a Morelo
Black an Adria
Foul ball all wiped out a non waving Swift!

I have been waved at by vans and coachbuilds on some days but we managed a full week in Devon and Dorset without any waves. Is this an area issue.

I wave at any motorhomes or PVC's and the occasional supermarket van accidental wave. I even managed to force a wave back from a PVC AND a Hymer in the same week. I do find most drivers are male and my hubby gets more waves than me

Not sure I'm allowed to mention it here but I recall a thing called a Saab wave. And an NSU wave though that was more the holding up of extended fingers, the number extended denoting which engine they were currently on.
