We didn’t expect this! (NEC 2025)

Best wishes to your brother and his recovery (and a good long life !)
We looked (from a distance as I saw the price tag) at one of these at a show in SW France, really impressive vehicle. Enjoy it when it arrives and looking forward to some Saharan/Greenland/Siberian adventure reports......
Thank you for those best wishes. I'll tell him how kind everyone is on here - I know how much he appreciates good wishes over the last 10 days. I think he's feeling really emotional after all he has been through and with the new lease of life we hope he has been granted. He's been moved to tears on a few occasions - which is so unlike my bottled-up brother.

And adventures - yes, we hope so. There are definitely roads in Morocco and Albania where we had to turn back, and now I hope we won't. Siberia might be off bounds for a while, but the Arctic regions of Norway and Sweden are definitely in the picture if this van is as warm as promised.

How long do you have to wait?
Must admit I'm not keen on the squiggly graphics - looks like a toddler's drawn with a crayon.

Snap, fingers crossed we are picking ours up next week, for us it has been a long, long wait, really hope yours is alot quicker.

Sounds like we went through a similar process and drivers, we actually ordered an MLT 580, then changed when we saw the Xtura and thought f@#£ it. Nice to know we are not the only ones.

We spoke to Alde at the show, they have the 4000D on display, the dimensions look a bit bigger, assured not 🧐, exhaust is a challenge but also thinking it maybe an option. Although we discussed diesel eperspacher (??) and heat exchanger.

Looks great , not so sure about the squiggles, but in the flesh so to speak may be fine, can't really tell of the photos,,,, however you need to put the following ad in the classified......
For Sale, or may donate to a good home,, German Wirehaired Pointer, sometimes answers to the name Flynn,,,,,,,,,,reason for sale, clashes with new interior! ( PS we would have him anytime and he gets a girlfriend!) :giggle:

We have a MLT 570 (2018)
We hired a Euromobil in Germany in 2017

When we were looking Euromobil was certainly on our list, unfortunately they did not have a single UK distributor at the time, and also Hymer were the only company producing a lower end of the market 'rough roader'

Obviously build quality changes from year to year and model to model, but we were happy with the build quality of the Euromobil we hired, but then also hired a Hymer MLT, and bought the Hymer.

I would strongly suggest you nip over to Germany for a week or two and hire a your model from DRM in Dusseldorf.
It will give you a proper idea of the extras you need and don't need.

Also dont get the dealers Tracker/Alarm/Immobiliser offer
or Solar Panel/Batty master or the Wifi

When you get the delivery date, do what we did, drive strait from the dealers forecourt to VanBitz in Taunton and get all the extras fitted there (MUCH better quality and half the cost)

Looks great! My younger sister died suddenly at 60 a year ago Christmas time. We had a sod it moment and bought our brand new Consort Oslo in August. Go for it! Nothing like the feeling and smell of a new van.

Good luck to your brother.

We did talk to the dealer about the diesel and once the show is over will make sure they are saying that they can install the very same Alde unit that's going in the 2026 models (available this autumn). If it's not, we will wait for it. The advantage of the Alde system is that it will supply hot water too, really reducing the need for gas and freeing up some space in the gas locker.

I like them! It all depends - April / May if they can retro fit the diesel heating that's coming in the 26 models. Late this year if not.

Thanks Carolyn. It's not as though anyone thinks they will live forever, but the death or ill health of a loved one, especially before their time, really brings it home in a visceral way.

Thanks. We never had any of that stuff in Denby though...

Flynn wants photos of the potential girlfriend before he commits.

The Alde guy was confident it would fit other than the exhaust caveat, it's me thinking it looked a bit bulkier. Good to hear they are going to offer the option, I think I would've gone for it. But diesel engine preheater and heat exchanger are probably our best option, at least there are options :giggle:

Was surprised at MandC, as had never heard of them before last year, but they have 4 big stands at the NEC. They sort of arranged a EuraMobil factory tour in Sept when Xtura's, about 15 of them, (LHD) were being built, was very interesting and good to see how they are assembled and options. The tours are run frequently but not always Xturas being built.

Very, Very Nice !

I kept coming across one in Morocco the other week. There look the business out in the wilds.

There were very much in the running for me but the extra long bed option in the MLt swung it for me.

The drivetrain and wheelbase are the same as my MLt so I reckon it will drive pretty much the same. We did 620 miles in a day down through Spain a few weeks ago and it was really smooth and comfortable despite the comedy tyres. However, on the tracks In Morocco it will get a lot further than you think is possible.

Great news, good for you. We walked past it at the show this afternoon, but there was a queue to look inside, so we just admired the outside. It's certainly a stand-out at the show.

Saw this one today. Looks good.
