Hi
We have just bought a McLouis Fusion 360 motor home and want to purchase a complete cover to protect it over the winter months.
Can anyone recommend a brand or make which they have experience of as being a quality product.

Thanks in anticipation.

I bought a Honda 125cc Scooter to go in the back of our MH. I keep it on the driveway under a cover. In less than a year even though the cover is tied down, the paintwork has been worn, requiring T-cutting at some point. The thought of that happening to our MH is enough to put me off ever fitting a cover over it.

Our experience with using a motorhome cover was not good, and we will not use a cover again on a motorhome that's parked outside, the reason why is, well we used a cover over winter to keep the muck and grot off as it was parked partly under a tree and although the cover was tight on the motorhome the wind moved the cover about and rubbed through areas of paint to the aluminium on the top corners of the motorhome.
The cover was not a cheap one, it was a Royal breathable with a soft flock-type lining.

When we parked up in our storage a few days ago I noticed the cover on the motorhome opposite was already flapping and chaffing. It wasn’t a particularly windy day, I don’t expect it to survive the winter. In our last storage area the caravan next to us had a very snug fitting cover, it still chaffed away in high winds and one day we arrived to find some straps and a few tattered bits of canvas hanging off the caravan. Covers also block the ventilation built into motorhomes.

The manufacturers of our last 2 motorhomes had long lists of optional extras but these did not include covers. I think they would leap at making a bit more money on selling covers if they thought they were a good idea.

Had one on our 1st new van and not bothered since 5 more in. I really wouldn't unless you live by the sea and impacted by seagulls etc.

Thanks for your response, definitely food for thought.

Thanks for your response, your reasoning makes sense.

I have a motorhome cover I don’t use any it’s for a motorhome with an overhead cab.

Don’t know if it’s any good for you but you can have it for free if you can collect it.
