For Swaffham virgins can I ask what facilities are on site?
Toilets, Black waste disposal, water, grey waste etc?

Given the recent rain are we on grass or hardstanding? I have absolutely no desire to get bogged down in a field.

We're on the rugby pitches but it is a well drained site, I had no problems last year my van weighs 6 tonnes. There are the normal rugby club facilities, toilets, showers etc.

Not had a single problem with the site the last two years and apart from one spot, upteen years before at Thetford. Quite sandy subsoil in those parts of East Anglia.

To be honest I can't remember as I always use my own facilities, perhaps John will let you know when he sees this.

We were able to leave the toilets open all night. The gate is also left open. However John Jaws will post a time before which you cannot arrive.

The other advice if you have an overhang or trailer is not to turn right into the site as you down the hill or you will ground. Go past it, turn round and do a climbing left turn into the site. Some ignored the advice last year making a loud graunch to announce their arrival to the marshals.

Please also look out for baby ducklings on the way in and follow instructions to get around the trees and onto the field. Only one water tap on the way in so if you can, arrive with plenty.

The black waste is basically an open drain around the back of the building. We had no access to the showers if I remember correctly.

The club is fine and you are asked to support the bar when it is open. We usually have access to the club all day but the bar opens at specific times.

Rubbish is an issue. Unless John has been able to negotiate something different this year, you will have to save your rubbish and take it away with you.

Grey waste needs to be caught and hedged or taken home. We must not let it go on the pitches.

You will enjoy it, of that I am certain. If only watching the ped racing with the odd rider coming a cropper.

Don't forget to bring something for the auction along with loads of dosh to bid for all the things you really did not know you needed!
