Ban on chemicals in cassette toilets

Article in the Hymer magazine saying it is now illegal to use additives in toilet cassette, so those of you visiting Germany who haven't got a SOG better get one fitted.

Green party are very strong in Germany, not allowed to use salt on the roads in winter can kill the trees.

That makes sense. They smell worse than the rest of the contents of the cassette anyway.

And the blue dye is a bugger to get off if you spill some.

Probably easier to take the red dye out of farm diesel.

I didn't think there were any made with formaldahyde any more Thetford changed their blue one years ago.

Separate wee wee from poo poo and the smell is vastly reduced...

Pure wee = good fertiliser...

Flush water, oxygen, warmth and a few road bumps and the enzymes sort the poo pongs.

No chemicals needed.

Not used chemicals or a Sog since I started fulltiming 6 years ago.... Had a Sog before that.
I honestly can't tell the difference these days... Either I am accustomed to the smell, there is no difference or my sense of smell vanished over night

Probably just another scare story, be interesting to see the article. No need for SOG with bio or eco friendly fluids or Lidle's finest bio detergent.

Don't need anything! Empty, rinse and after a few days the bugs build up and very little smell when emptying!
A good degunge once or twice a year with white vinegar or cheap coke and bobs your mothers brother!!!
