Went for the Moretti collection this week, I normally get the Rossa when in Italy but decided to splash out, I didn't know that IPA was Italian Pale Ale so decided to try.....

This a really nice dark beer from Castle Douglas, the brewery has its own bar with a great vibe

Kaneens + BBNo, Pale Ale, Isle of Man

5.2% pale gold in colour with a thin head, this beer was a good lager.

Not been to the IOM since 1993, I did go to the TT for 20 years in a row before that but sadly never since.

Prefer Spitfire. Most of our local pubs are Shit & Scream and the brewery at Faversham does an amazing number of brews that you wouldn't expect from an old established independent brewery.

Shame they didn't choose to put a Barnacle goose on the label instead of the Canada goose they've chosen as the Barnacles are arriving now around the Solway Firth and into Caerlaverock which is just down the road from Castle Douglas ?

Didn’t chose the beer for the picture but you are right, I suspect the guys at the brewery have more important things to think about. Making sure they brew the beer better than ever

I first came across that one in a bar in Cambrils, Spain, and thought it was really nice.................so I had two of them.

If you like this kind of beer, you'll not regret It, very similar to Chimay. Here I pay around 2€ for a beer like that. A bit expensive, but worth It

Yes definitely worth it as at that strength you only need 6 or 7!

I bought a box of these in Lidl a couple of months back and really enjoyed them.
Shame it was just a special as I would definitely buy them again.
