Omnivent motor repair - 3 speed omnivent fan not turning

The 3 speed reversible Omnivent. (Probably other models apply)

The #1 common fault.....stuck brushes in the motor.

Indoors, remove the 4 screws holding the fly screen and remove screen.
remove motor wires from switch (theres only two and may be a resistor between them, do not seperate) taking note which goes where.
the connectors are hard to get out of the small hole in the plastic motor mounting frame so i cut them and fitted new connectors on reassembly

Thanks for info. We had to change the motor on the Omnivent on our caravan. Working great now, many thanks. We did note your helpfull comment re the washers - but still got it wrong till we figured we had one of the washers the wrong way up. The only other snag we had was getting the motor out. After taking put the two screws it still would not budge - had to resort to hitting it from the inside with a plastic mallet. Job done time for a large G&T now. thanks again
