Alugas are excellent €700 for 2 sounds far too cheap for Alugas, can I ask where from?
Be careful with the Gas Bank difficult to get the multivalve bottle see earlier posts in the thread.
A place in poland, i have been in contact with them this morning and can ship to Spain via DHL for 21 euros, so all in 773 euros delivered, as i say only rubber hoses - heres the link

It looks like you need to add the filler box housing too if you want to mount it externally, or some sort of bracket for internal mounting:

Yes - says it comes with a remote filling point just trying to establish what that looks like - as picture looks a bit unsightly

Always alternate between the 2 cylinders as the construction / function of the fill stop valve requires a tiny bleed hole .
Unfortunately this means that over time every fill will add a tiny amount of liquid State LPG , you will eventually overfill the unused cylinder .
Sorted….YouTube is your friend. (y)

Interesting thread, we’ve just sold a van with gaslow and I am regretting not having the kit removed before sale, hey ho.

looking at Gasit, it does state all bottles have excess flow valve;

All GAS IT bottles and tanks have an automatic excess flow valve fitting in the 80% shut off fill valve

With the auto changeover, if I leave the cylinder I’ve been using all the time closed, will it just automatically open on the other cylinder if I only open that one? 🤔
Yes it certainly should do .

Does that mean me and everyone else with 14kg Alugas bottles are illegal in Spain?
No. it is a maximum of 2 cylinders @ 12,5kgs each- so 25kgs of gas. is ok.
My mate turned up here some years back with 2 x refillables, 1 x 12,5kg repsol , 1 x 12,5 kg cepsa & an 18kg calor .
fortunately I helped him out by letting him leave the repsol & cepsa here.

Sorry yes saw that, but what i meant was, what it looks like in person so to speak :) - and i wanted a white one :)

That doesn’t look to be the remote filling point that is fitted through the side/skirt of the vehicle, it’s possibly one that can be mounted on a bracket in the gas locker.

Have a look on their website for the pukka remote straight and angled outlet fillers for Motorhomes - and yes, they are available in white.

Carbon Zorro is also the company trading as LPG Shop in the U.K.

As an aside, can anyone tell me which connector/thread is on the (L/H) outlet from the Alugas multivalve, as I’m going to need to get from there to an auto changeover valve (which I believe is W20?).

It depends on which adaptor you have in the Alugas cylinder.
Very often the German KLF fitting .
Looks similar to a U.K. 21.8 lh ( Also known as a Butane nut ) but it will leak ⚠️

We use 2 x 6kg gaslow bottles, they last 4 weeks using the fridge on gas.

Just found these GRP bottles with multi outlets/inlerts so they can be plumbed in. lightweiaght & a lot cheaper than Alugas.
They do 5kg, 7.5kg & 11kg.

Alec here we purchased our gas set up from this company ie self fill system. Had no problems with fill up.

This is the L/H threaded outlet on the Alugas cylinder. It has a nitrile insert in it, can you tell from that which would be the appropriate connection/ hose for it?

That’s the KLF German pigtails.
We keep them in stock, you will notice that the rubber seal is on the bottle adaptor unlike the other similar types .
Not trying to advertise our products but it’s the only picture I have.

Gaslow, Calor, Flogas, BP Green, Gas It and in fact all steel gas bottles are very heavy even when empty. Underslung probably best but no idea of cost etc. I have two Safefill bottles, a 10kg used for fixed gas appliances and a 7.5 kg one for the BBQ (and if the bigger one runs out). MUCH lighter and can be used away from the MH if required. They are however expensive to start with.

Used Safefill since 2014 touring Spain, Portugal and France without any problems. In this time have changed the van 4 times and used the same cylinders. Have new Concorde on order with underslung tank but will be using my Safefill Cylinders as well.
Found filling up no problem what so ever, NO holes had to be cut in the M/H unlike Gaslow so will stick with Safefill.

SafeFill. Ultralight, Can be demounted and used for BBQ. Also, much cheaper as you can use one SafeFill and one Calor.

Problem with safefill is they are a single valve bottle so can't be plumbed in and that means lifting them out for filling.

Defeats the object of refillables and a high chance of being refused to fill up particularly in countries where it is illegal to fill hab tanks/bottles.

None of them. Alugas and save a load of payload.
6kg per 11 kg cylinder roughly
Any Motorhome that’s struggling for that kind of weight saving isn’t fit for purpose in my opinion.
I sell both Alugas and the steel Gaslow cylinders, Alugas have been extremely difficult to get as well .

I have rubber ended spin wheel pigtails. I only have to spin them off the bottles and refill them in situ. No need to take them out the gas cabinet ever.
I've yet to have any problems refilling them in this country Germany or France. I haven't had to try Spain for a refill yet. My two 19 ltr bottles will usually last more than a month.

They don't make the weight of the LPG inside them any lighter though does it, so your still having to lug around a heavy full gas cylinder.
