Just had three Chinooks fly over in formation followed a few minutes later by another formation of three Chinooks.

The first three are now circling just North-West of Stanstard airport and the other three a little North-West of the first group.

It looks like something is going on at Stansted airport as the first group have landed there and the second group are on their way there.

Ever since lighting was by Calor gas.
Three large unmarked four prop and matt black transport planes (I think they were Hercules)) flew over my house yesterday, one following the other at around half a mile apart at around 1,500 ft but didn't show at all on Flightradar24. 😢

C17 Globemaster III confirmed for the Royal International Air Tattoo at Fairford. Also a simulated air to air refueling flypast.

I've 2 day admission tickets in the classifieds with a hefty discount if anyone is keen ;)

Talking of refuelling demos, does anyone else watch Growler Jam videos on YouTube?

He was trying to connect to the drogue in very turbulent conditions recently and his patience and precision is amazing.

He flies off aircraft carriers and his voice is mesmerising when he tells you what he and everyone around him are doing.

Not seen it but definitely sounds like it is worth a watch 👌

We regularly see or hear either A400s or Hercules flying north or south as they pass over RAF Shawbury most days. The sortie is usually up into Scotland and back to Brize Norton.

Grandson has just graduated from initial training as an avionics technician to be posted to Waddington to work on the Rivet Joints.

We've got a Dutch contingent training at Carlisle airport at the moment, had a convoy of 5 Apaches and 3 Chinooks fly along the river valley behind our house, quite a spectacle !

Just wondering …
Do they show up on flight?
just had an incredible display with all 8
No, the Reds don't usually show up on Flightradar. You can sometimes (often) see them on freedar.uk or adsbexchange.com, which both cover more military traffic than Flightradar does.

Anyone watching these C-130j Hercules flying in loose formation low level around the country ?
I spotted them earlier on ADS-B when they were flying at around 500' very close to my home. Can only find one (OMEN01) now over Devon
