Dorset Fun Rally 2014 ?? (1 Viewer)

I just got to wondering whether there would be interest for a Meeting in Dorset next year possibly June or early July ?
Norden Farm Campsite has a smashing Rallyfield & is in a really great location.
There has been a number of Threads mentioning it recently including myself recommending it.
The site is a 20 minute walk from Corfe Castle & very pleasant at that. there are also lovely walks all around many taking in quaint Dorset Pubs !!!
There is a Bus stop directly outside the site which links with all the local towns & the coast which has fine beaches & safe bathing.
the site has a well stocked shop & a nice Restaurant but would only be open for cream teas & Sunday breakfasts at that time of year, however don't get the wrong impression this is a very uncommercialised site & still a working Farm.
I haven't approached the site owners as yet so don't know the rates etc. but as we were on site at the end of June the rallyfield wasn't in use. I know the C&C Club are using it in August but beyond that I don't know.
I suppose at this stage I just need to know if there is enough interest to take it further, so over to you........................

I have made enquiries via E mail to Norden Farm regarding availability & fees and am waiting a reply.

To everyone who has registered an interest for this Get together I am meeting the Deputy Campsite Manager next week whilst on holiday to discuss our options.
I haven't discussed costs yet & of course that could be the deciding factor but it seems I can either book the Rallyfield which doesn't give us access to the Site facilities & might be only worthwhile if we have a large amount of interest or I can reserve part of one of the Camping fields for our use which may be better bearing in mind the Sites fees are very reasonable in June / early July but I would probably need to give the Site quite accurate figures for numbers attending. Anyway we are talking about early next Summer so no need to commit at the moment but I will post another reply after my meeting & make a decision based on that.:Cool:

By the way by my reckoning there are 20 Funster Units interested so far + us so should be good.

Dorset Fun rally

Might be interested as I have a niece down there and Dorset is very pretty. Might be time constraints though so can't say for definite.
