I'll be keeping an eye on this thread. I enjoy birdwatching & one of my grandsons is keen too.

Sounds like a few like Leighton Moss, sounds good I also like the sound of Budle Bay, North East coast, Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Lake District etc

Any sites within walking distance of any good places?

Frampton Marsh is an amazing site, visited for the first time yesterday. Not many places where you can see 6 raptors in a couple of hours (Hen Harrier, Marsh Harrier, Peregrine, Buzzard, Merlin, Kestrel). Parked overnight the day before at Marsh Road about 4 miles away.

Any of tHe large RSPB sites would be ideal for such a meet up
Leighton Moss has a small CL within walking distance
Wish I'd know your down we could have met up. I was there today.right down sat the far end

What about Bempton cliffs, there’s a site Wold farm with a private track to Bempton.

It’s not cheap though, beginning of June £28 weekdays, £30 weekend, £4 reduction for no electric so that would take it down to £24 during the week.
Awning free, dogs free.

Well worth a visit I was last there in 2010. Might find the camera battery I lost
