Best value are the all in one devices, scanner and printer together.

Any scanner with 1200 x 2400 dpi will be adequate.

I use a Canon TS6250

EBay have assorted prices for that model a lot less than £159
Read pc/magazines reviews for best printer+scanners

Good Luck and don't rush your choice, often new models with similar specs sell at a very low price; because they'll make all their profits mostly on ink and papers etc

Just take a look at Cash Converters then check out the reviews, to see if will suit you,

I put in search for scanner, then printer scanner

Some example shots of a cheap little £130 Sony HX60V

The zoom is very good 30x optical and upto 65x with camera enhancement.

These shots are straight out of camera and the clock tower shot through

I can't add pictures to a post, the picture adding icon on the top bar is greyed out.

The option to attach a file is still there, I have used the add picture icon on the top bar many times previously, can anyone help please.

I enjoy photography as a hobby, typically landscapes, sunsets, long exposure (waterfalls, or traffic trails), wildlife (mostly birds in fairness, but that's mostly because that's what you mostly see) and macro (mostly insects, some flowers).

Where do people recommend as good places to visit for good photo opportunities?

I am new to motorhoming, but until now tended to book cottages, usually Scotland or the southern counties, for a week at a time and use it as a base. Hope is to cover more ground in a MH.

On my list is to go back to Mull (for WTSE), The Western Isles, north coast of Scotland.

Also really looking forward to places that are doable as weekend trips that I wouldn't have wanted to use a whole week's annual leave on before, but would have been a bit much for a day trip e.g. landscape photography in the Peak District.

I am also hoping to go and stay overnight somewhere close to Ham Wall in winter for the murmurations.
If you are looking for an overnight parking spot for Ham Wall, try The Railway Inn. It’s just a few minutes walk from the Ham Wall Trail. A real locals pub, nothing posh, with free parking providing you have a pint….try the local cider! I think they’ve put in an outside loo recently but I don’t think they do food. You won’t find anywhere closer to park overnight

last night's moon .. with shadows showing craters

Camera ..pocket Sony Cybershot HX60v, not as fine detailed as expensive zoom lenses, but hand held, maybe would have been improved definition if I had used a tripod.
However it was on the spur of the moment shot looked up, saw the shadowy moon EH VOILA.

I do astrophotography, requiring many hours of exposure to capture such dim targets, which is why I’m looking at getting a motor home to reach darker sky sites and sleep comfortably while the camera takes the photo.
Think I might have to take up normal photography too after seeing the amazing images on here …. something to do in the daytime while waiting for the next night’s astro adventures 🤣

Good idea if those images are your night time work. I enjoy wildlife, landscapes and flowers. As well as recording family and friends time.

Just a few colour posts of King's Lynn fair
.. locals call it the "The Mart".

Because of bad weather there was a poor turn out, so a lot of photos are missing people to add life to the photos.

However my shoot that night was colour and mood, using a Pro Mist Black Warm Filter.

No tripod - hand held, there's a fair bit of noise if you pixel peep but at viewing distance they work.
Here's a few examples.

Hoping to use this set up when we motorhome visit 2024 Birmingham Xmas Market in December. Although these camera settings aren't happy with motion.

Hi Dave, I use a Fujifilm X100v
It is fixed 23mm lens ha ha no faffing with lenses .. to zoom you have to use legs, to get close in !
I think if you get into the media Metadata, you can see the actual settings.
The only thing I have added is the foldable trigger on the back; for one handed shooting

Yes the menu is not the easiest but easy after a couple of uses.

Yes these were SOC , just cropped to cut out straggly bits.

The lens is a cracker fast at f2 ..it has NO Image Stabilisation!!.

The image quality plus lens comes from

X100V has a APS-C sensor

Sensor is 9% larger than the average Large Sensor Compact sensor in its class.

Stick it on all auto + flash and shoot all day.

Here's the trigger on the back for one handed snapping.

Why not. It’s always good to have 2 bodies, redundancy is protection against missing the shot 👍🏻👍🏻

When you asked " How do you find the menu," I misread and I now realise you were asking how to find Metadata menu:

1) Tap a photo .. select the box above, with broken lines [ enlarge ].

2) The display goes into Lanscape Display.

3) Tap the double bar inward pointing arrow, in the right hand corner.

4) Choose the menu "image metadata".

5) You may have to choose another photo next in the series to speed it up, then go back to your chosen photo.
