We had a customer call in for gas and I asked him if he would mind if I inspected his filler point installation as I was genuinely interested to see.
Just as I suspected it was high pressure filler hose not vented properly in the void between the outer bodywork and inner trim panels.
So basically in the habitation area

Was it the same dealer? If so ( or not ) they should be getting a phone call from someone ( you ) telling them what they’re doing is highly dangerous!

Basildog thanks for prompt to check ours.

Our filler is in the aluminium skirt and then the pipe goes in the outside air direct into the gas locker, which is of course ventilated, so seems all OK.

WELL worth the trip up there. Everything done is 100% correct. Peace of mind when it comes to anything gas related.

HSE have a big stick to wield when they have to!

If I remember correctly, when I was a TGWU H&S Transport rep back in the 80's, I think the HSE had 8 inspectors covering ALL of England!
I very much doubt if it's improved much?

It was my job to see that everyone avoids any Big bangs or fatalities!
If there were any, staff, or management, had either not followed my instructions or I had failed in my job?
Happy to report, in 4yrs, no serious incidents occurred!
