Tutlingen and sinkhole of the Danube

IMG_20200901_120807.jpg
We got the e tandem out today from Tutlingen and cycled the wrong way down the Danube. Worked it out by flow of river and went in right direction to the sinkhole. 155 days a year the water level means the Danube (or Donau) disappears down this hole. Today was one if the 210 days. It was jus a puddle. Ended up taking the bike a bit off road and cost us 4 spokes so repairs tomorrow.
Moved on to Donaueschingen which is looking good as a freebie but Geisingen was a corker freebie we passed while on our 58km detour

This naked biker was spotted en route

Best example of keeping social distance during the time when HMG had us under restrictions

This is actually the Danube river, it is a dry spot but the river is running (allegedly) underneath you but you can cycle on the cycle path where the river ought to be

We had an electric fold up tandem at the time and it was here that we realised it was not fit for our purpose.
Wheels too small, spokes not up to it, battery not large enough, hate being overtaken by obese German pensioners who carry their oxygen tanks with them. Lovely to have but not of great use unless you stick to canals and flat routes, then its perfect (for 2)
