We set off for Royan on a morning cycle. Allegedly only 17 Kms but our first detour was at la palmyre a km from where we are staying.
Palmfest is on. Now I know why there pissheads shouting and screaming at 0230 enough to make me get up and arm myself with a dual use torch. One is is for light !
But at the detour was a velo shop with this baby. Love it
Then cycling along the core beaute and they are right
We came across st palais Sur mer which was immaculate apart from the 2 public toilets the wife tried. Off to the bushes was the preferred option
Then more lovely scenery with small beaches
Before seeing 2 motorhome carrying ships that transport you to the medoc.
And nice harbour
But we didn't look about at all. The beach was calling so it was our first beer out and an omelette each at a PMU for 18 euros all in.
Entertainment was provided by a young lady not realising how far up her skirt went when bending over to load the recycling up.
