Woke up and nearly finished the charging of the batteries before setting off about 1000 hrs into a stiff breeze for the 37 km return journey.
Passing over the Danube 9 times today on good tarmac 95% of the time.
We had to raise our electric level to tour and although warm an undershirt felt necessary.
Storks all over the place today walking out in front of us and the kites. No idea how many but in 3 places where there were farmers working in fields must have been 30+ in each occasion.
What got us today were the electric charging points en route. At least 4. We will be putting the chargers into the panniers from now.
Also the resting points. Vending machines for cold beer and ice cream. Unusual xylophones and cellos overlooking the Danube with rocking chairs whilst they feed you electric.
We noted the brewery over a small canal for the way back for a beer but we also noted a lily clad carp lake that did beer. It was a close call but they both won.
In between we found the only (allegedly) wild terrapins breeding in Europe in a warm spring pond.
Ehingen has 4 independent breweries but we were already committed for our way home.
And we had a narrow track alongside a railway bridge.
Good day all round.
And we managed to get a storage locker for my bike to charge it in there so half the charging time tonight.
And some of Riedlingen town. Loads of stork nests round the town and they chat to each other.
