We aimed here as a stopping point for an overnight, a walk round the town and ablutions.
The Aire has 6 slopey "pass the salt" spots and regular disappointed motorhomers after us.
The toilet dump was one of those "pull the grill of the grey waste up" styles and as we weren't desperate I didn't bother. I wouldn't have filled up with water either as only a singular tap.
But it was free.
You are parked right on the Dordogne and they were obviously letting water out of the dam this morning as it was higher and faster.
The town was basic at best and had a funfair that amounted to dodgems and another ride so increased traffic with less space on the junction.
Unfortunately dog owners very apparently aren't supplied with bags in this town.
The barrage was impressive and there is a chateau up the road beyond the barrage which is supposed to be nice.
There was an eerie mist on the river last night about an hour before sunset. Photos from my phone wouldn't have done it justice
We wouldn't hurry to return to the town
