Another one on our hit list.
I did a search on mhf for galamus but nothing found.
The notable thing about the gorge road is it is for less than 2 m wide and 2.7 m tall which should discount a lot of us from driving it.
We approached from the south and parked in the first car park. (Last photo) and although easily possible to go to the second carp a couple of Kms further up. Spacing is for cars. Should you come height of season and it be full then you should be able turn round.
We got the bikes out and it is a fairly level cycle. We saw nothing bigger than a transit attempt it.
It was easily walkable this time of year. You are better off walking or cycling than even driving in a car. You can't see over many of the barriers from a car. Nearly zero traffic so cycling on the wrong side most of the time.
Definite revisit for us if passing and the hermitage which I tried zooming in on is a cafe which looks to have a terrace would be worth a visit.
Scrambled down (easy at certain points) for picnic lunch in stunning clue part that led to a swimming point.
We would put this gorge on a par with the gorges and clues of the esteron. Corker. Just don't drive it.
