We only popped into Deggendorf to go to tourist office but it was a very clean town with main pedestrianised wide street divided by a church in the middle extremely similar to Straubing. Set out with many bars and cafes and cobblestones, but I didn't take any pictures on the expectation we would return.
But the stellplatz is what I have marked up.
It's a hotel but only charges 7 euros a night. No English spoken and lovely old man comes out to greet you. He's not fussed about anything. When you leave pop your money in an envelope and bung it through a letterbox. We think leccy was 3 euros. Free water from what we could work out. WiFi code on the sign so presumably free. Views of deer in the fields opposite in the morning also free.
When you look at the map you think it will be noisy because of nearby motorway. It's not. 4 Kms to to town in bike route. About 2 Kms to lakes and swimming pool sauna.
