We hadn't really got a clue where we were off to today.
Weather was inclement, weekend parties would be ruined.
Didn't fancy Moselle.
Didn't know what to do.
Headed off with Bad Durkheim in the sat nav but there was a conspiracy between sat nav and local planners that saw us into the very town centre of Mannheim. Should have taken photos especially if the railway there.
At one stage I just said "put Frankfurt into it and get me out of here"
Other things that went in were Trier, bernkastel bobasee Kaiserslautern. An issue with running with less than 500 miles of adblue has appeared on our dashboard.
So it was quite nice parking up at Bad Bertrich, paying 12 euros, going off to the only volcanic spa sauna therme in Germany paying 48 euros for the pair of us and relaxing.
There are 5 saunas and a hammam plus outdoor pool and sunbathing areas with food and bar. (2 burgers and chips with 4 beers 28 euros). There is also a swimming in costume pool with jacuzzis and rest area (still volcanic water)
2 hours of both was 19 euros each. I think swimming was 12 for 2 hours each.
Really relaxing.
Not a lot of photos. It's a German sauna !
But we have now got some literature on the volcano route
