I know that there are a number of Funsters that like to use an Air Fryer and saw this warning posted on the News channel.

I remember also an article of the time stating that it was dangerous to stand with one's back too close to a microwave in operation as it could cook one's kidney's! I and many others at the time kept our kidneys well away!

It depends whats happened to the number of fires caused by the method of cooking the air fryer has replaced. If the other fires have reduced more than the airfyer ones have increased it would actually show the air fryers are safer. The number of fires might have doubled but I reckon the number of airfryers have increased pretty quickly too.

And as air fryers are often used to make chips quite likely they are resulting in less fires overall.
