Xmas in the Canaries

We are on Gran Canaria, Sardina very NW corner of the island and well away from the 'Grockles'. Also we are closer to the green areas in the North - Moya, Tejeda and Agaete for sea.

We have been to La Palma(X2) and La Gomera, but prefer this to both.

Temp 24C in day, 17C at night.

Happy Christmass everyone.

Geoff and Basia

We have a friend travelling from Holland has his dog in the cabin, the limit is 8kg our Izzy size just about, I think Spanish airlines are the same 8kg. 🙂

I don't know if KLM fly from Norwich still, and being Dutch if you could fly from the UK with them ? Or is it just UK rules 🙄 other friends fly from Sweden with two cats in the cabin to Spain. 😎 Bob

Traditional Xmas Eve lunch, Paella! Have a great Xmas everyone!

I’m sure many Northern Euros aren’t bothered about this considering the bitterness after Brexit! Tourism particularly PIGS med regions they might get special visas for non-res property owners so they can encouraging keeping assets to those countries but anything happening would take a long time.

Our view for lunch today, beef carpaccio then baked monkfish, delicious 🤤
Yes, we're big fans of the Canaries. At the beginning of February we'll be returning to the island in your photo - La Gomera. It's a regular haunt of ours and we stay on the southern tip at Playa Santiago, where the Holiday Property Bond (HPB) has an attractive resort. :giggle:

Enjoy Tenerife! (y)

Arrived in Adeje yesterday (not in the camper), weather a lovely warm 23 degrees. Staying at Jardines de Nivaria, part of the Adrian hotels group and it’s superb.
Here for Xmas and New Year, trying not to think of my slowly discharging vehicle battery on the camper!
Do not think about it now. Enjoy your holiday. When you return put it on charge.

Just had a little visit from Mr & Mrs MattR

Lovely family.

Theyre getting the flight home tonight but had a nice week here.

Lovely and warm here. What's stopping you?
Travelling to our house in Javea on the 28th.

Thats where we use all of our 90/180 days. That and we both still work. Otherwise would jump at the chance.

That said, I often see flights from Alicante to the canaries for less than €10. So if it snows in January on the Costas !

Daughters out in Los Christianos Tenerife, keeps sending us photos of the sunshine 😠 although I think it's due to cloud over on Tuesday 🤭
