Morning all.

Can I ask a question of the MHF users please?
If your van was of a certain age and had everything you needed in terms of layout, storage etc but was just starting to look it’s age with the orangey wood effect becoming too much after a while, would you ever consider taking your motorhome somewhere ( or someone comes to you) to get all the internal cabinetry etc resprayed?
I ask this because in the main, motorhomes look great but can look dated quite quickly but a simple colour change could then give a few more years happy useage.
To remain transparent, I operate a furniture, kitchen, windows etc spraying business and consider a motorhome to be no more difficult than respraying an in situ kitchen in someone’s home and I’m trying to gauge interest, or not.
Thanks 😊
Steve

I recently saw a van that was "updated" with the use of carbon fibre look vinyl wrap and 2 tone grey paint. Whereas it looked ok, it had a very limited market appeal when being sold
I'm not surprised, carbon fibre is for sports cars not motorhome interiors

Just had a shuftie at your media images, you had a heck of a lot of work on there, well done for sorting it all out!

As an aside I saw the photo about artificial grass and the heat it reaches in the sun ... frightening!

These photos of a simple oak kitchen show the lift a colour can give. The quality of the units remain but just brighten things up.

Impressive. If I had an old van I'd definitely consider it.

Personally. No.
I like the wood effect and our soft furnishing is mainly dark blue with goldy coloured curtains.
I would worry about getting a paint job then regretting it!

Wow, looking at your media photos, that not just an interior update !
I particularly like the transformation of the outside.
Well done.

I think it is facebook as that is the only link I can find, thee are some pics on a general search but they seem to be all interior decorating bits and pieces :(

Afternoon all Funsters.
I’d like to revisit this post if I may.
I have a great belief in this additional service to what we do being a service that people might like.
I’m going to actually pick a motorhome n the coming weeks and carry out a full interior recolour so that I can show how much different the interior can look but in the meantime, I’d like to ask a few questions with regards logistics if I may?
How far would you travel to drop off?
Would you think about it more if there was a collection and delivery service?
Would
Would you look to autumn/ winter to consider getting the work done?
Would a live internet feed log in to a constant video feed make you feel better about the service?
And, would you consider a bumper, skirt, lower plastic update, or even a vinyl floor recovering at the same time?
I appreciate there are a few questions but I want to make sure of viability for motorhomes before looking into things further.
Here’s an example of the masking process on a conventional kitchen.

Edit: For purposes of provenance. My company is called Colourmy and we are in Wigston, Leicester

Artificial grass does get warm in the sun. Our dogs executive washroom with AstroTurf and a streetlight is in the shade apart from early morning so is OK. On a cold but sunny day a patch in front of the shed door is a favourite place for dogs to lie as it gets warm.

I don’t think that I would be interested, I am likely to replace current MH before it needs refreshing. If I were to have a much older MH, then I probably would go DIY as I have had good results in the house updating pine furniture.
So it is difficult to answer your specific questions, sorry.

That's exactly what we want doing. Unfortunately, we're in Spain 😉 and not thinking about travelling to the UK in the foreseeable future.

OMG ... that's a ghost spider ... be careful as they can 'walk' through walls and frighten you in the night when they 'jump' on you! 👻

My van is vintage - hit 30 years old last month - so should I refurb I need to be very careful.

Tasteful refurbing that kind of thing because it would be like taking an old Fiesta, slapping on wheel trims and go-faster stripes on the side and putting fake racing seatcovers on inside with bright red floor mats and hoping that people would think it was trendy!

For my rig, I think looking back is better because it seems it was already retro when it was made - I can't look anywhere except the old Ducato dashboard and not see the colour brown or fake wood - must add some!
