Rally Woodside field

For your info, we now have a dial a ride or app bus service which picks up just across the road at the pub. Look up Westlink for more details, £2 a journey or free with bus pass.

Deposit posted. Should be with you soon. I think I've spotted the issue I had with the account name. In post #40 the account name differs from the one I was given. So when final payment is made I should be ok to use that name. Hopefully.

Regardless the Bus service here is excellent and only £2 a journey. If you are not as mobile as you used to be, they will pick up at the gate, although you will have to ring and book that service as it is not available on the App. :xsmile:

As an octagenarian, I have to say that the short walk up the hill towards the Old Sodding Church is no mean trot. 2 Years or so ago, on a walk with a fellow Funster, I had to stop every 50 yards, sorry 40 odd metres, but last year, with my newly prescribed tablets, I did it in one go! Even so the bus sounds promising!;

Hi all,

The outline programme is as follows (all dependant on the weather):-

Thursday ( not before 1200hrs please) arrival and set up,
1900hrs meet at the fire pit for chat and questions. Bring a drink and nibbles.

Friday day time games in the marquee or introduction to geocashing (ending at the pub for lunch) .
evening Jacobs ladder(or american supper). All bring some food to put on the table for all to share. Please let me know what you are bringing so we don't get 20 cheese boards. After music and fund raising in the marquee, bring drinks, nibbles and some money.

Sat day games in the marquee. Evening film night in the marquee.

Sunday day Easter egg hunt. Evening Team Quiz in the Marquee.

Monday Free time in the day. Evening meet in the marquee bring your own drink and nibbles.

Tuesday goodbye and departure.

The charity for the rally is the air ambulance should you want to make an additional contribution.

All the above is due to change dependant on the weather.

The air ambulance has agreed to attend for a question and answer session if enough people are interested in attending so please let me know.
Martin

Just an idea ,
Would it be possible if anybody has vehicle weighting scales ,
maybe they could bring them
And have a slot for weighting vans as they come in ? For a set prize and money could go to the charity.
I know ( Clivefrog )and this opportunity for us once
if he willing to do again. Pretty please. Bump

Sounds fabulous! What is a Jacob’s ladder ?

Hi,

We all bring some food to the marquee to share with everyone and eat together. It is quite a social gathering.

Jacobs Table: everyone brings a plate of something edible to place on a table and we all share.

Jacobs Ladder: said plates are piled on top of each other and we play a version of Jenga trying to get at the good stuff underneath.

No need to bring all your ladders.
