Woodside Field opening tomorrow for 2025 season.

Looking forward to Easter.

Just remember I have my lovely crocheted jacket a là lunarman Ang so please keep the fire pit smoke blowing AWAY from me! 🤣

I usually feel like a smoky version of Eric Morecambe in their Singing In The Rain skit!

How many people will be wearing their crochet jackets for fire pit night?

It is sunny and windy in field today.

Me! I’ve just spent 2 months in Spain and didn't wear shorts once!

Fingers crossed for a sunny, warm Easter - we’re owed one, surely!

Looking forward to catching up with everyone.

When you're practicing the ukulele does it remind you of the Andre Previn sketch "playing all the right notes but not necessarily in the right order" 🤣

Sadly, people must remember that, because again this year you have not paid, to my agent, Old Nick, the required attendance fee, Easter sunshine cannot be guaranteed but I will do my best for you. 🤞

Despite that however, may I wish you and all the Funsters, a very Happy Easter! 😄

Closer to home than you think John! I write up the songs for our Ukrainian group. I have just written up a Ukrainian song in Cyrillic for the Ukrainian girls and phonetically for us English girls.

I had to guess where the chords went in their version, and told them about that very sketch - I have all the right chords, but not necessarily in the right places!

This is part of it! Amazingly, we all change chords at the same time - result!

Apologies for the thread hijack - but at least it shows potential visitors what an enterprising bunch we are!

I think, if all the attending Funsters tried really hard, that could be a Funsters Anthem by the end of Easter with the first performance at the Bash!

We all love a challenge? 🤣

I’ve learned the whole song - over to you!

By the way folks, Woodside Field is open again today in case you missed the first post.

No way can I see Funsters being able to learn that song at the Easter rally, perhaps, I will be proven wrong??????
Looks like a solo concert from you Geraldine.

When we perform it at Oldbury-on-Severn Open Mic next Saturday, I’ll post the video!

Hope the sunshine brings you some early visitors!

We have missed you both too, we have not been too great over the Christmas, put too much weight on, now we are suffering.

I have wanted to come for a while but we have a caravan and last year we had a VW that was fwd and I know the way on is on a hill
We now have a pick up truck 4x4 so hopefully the hill won't be a problem, but how tight are any bends? The rig is almost 40feet long, will it be ok?

Not sure caravans are allowed, best PM
Quackers ?
Be nice to meet up if you could. 👍

We do allow the odd caravan, but do not encourage it.
As a guideline we have had some good drivers arrive with 9m tag axles towing car trailers and have flown in without issue. Only on one occasion can I remember a driver struggling with the entrance and disconnecting a car trailer behind a motorhome.

You unit sounds to large to me but in fairness I have no experience towing a caravan. Anybody else want to make a comment?

The caravan is way too long I think, might be able to setup just inside the gate to the right, not sure about turning into the gate though?
