Rally Woodside Field 20th - 25th July 2023

Getting close now Funsters.

I've not got a firm entertainments list yet, just a few ideas.

Day one 20th welcome pack on arrival, meet and greet/social drinks in the evening sun or gazebo if a brief shower dares to show up.
Day 2 Jacobs table in the evening (hot or cold food to bring and share if you have not heard of a Jacobs Table before)
Day 3 Afternoon games. Evening £1 nearest the bottle charity fund raiser. White elephant raffle game (£5 ish item wrapped needed for this)
Day 4 Morning bacon rolls. Afternoon more games? Evening Quiz
Day 5 Evening wind down social gathering results of the picture quiz
Day 6 Farewells.

If anyone has any ideas please put them forward.

I will require help with most everything, parking up arrivals, white elephant game, bacon prep and serving, afternoon games.
I'll firm up the list after I'm back from IoW.

Dog owners remember your environmentally friendly degradable poop bags. Dogs to be on a lead at all times.

Oh and a little nudge if you have only paid a deposit please pay the remainder by the end of the month, thank you.

Not sure whether you're looking for victims volunteers at this stage or not and I don't have any specific qualifications needed for the activities listed, other than a pair of hands and a desire to join in.

landranger being a first timer, luckily we do supply the buckets and sponges to allow you to clean all the vans on site which helps with your payload.

Now being serious, one thing we love about Funster rallies is the amount of folk who are willing to help out. Really hope that some of you go on to run your own rallies somewhere.

landranger, we are sure sure you will be made very welcome at your first rally. PM Clivefog if you need a Funster name badge or window sticker for your van.

Can I just mention that, although I am inexperienced but, sometimes, have fairly good hand to eye co-ordination, (sometimes not) I will be bringing 3 sets (9 boules I have acquired since being introduced to it at this years Bash), with me so that, if anyone fancies a game on grass, we might be able to organise something enjoyable? (I'm sure the Mole Hills will come in handy )

No, unless we have many other inexperienced people like myself, and have to borrow one of the Croquet balls for the Jack?

For all those attending this rally we have recently been informed of a new bus service for South Glos.
Introducing West Link
Basically we have 30 minibuses touring the local area and you can book a ride via a mobile app, web app or phone call. It operates from 7am - 7pm Mon -Sat. It collects and drops off at our local pub the Cross Hands Hotel which is only a few minutes from our main gate. But best of all each ride costs £2 per adult. So if you want some retail therapy in Yate or Chipping Sodbury it will cost you £2 a ride.

We have a few Funsters here this week and next so I will persuade someone to try it out.

Camper sue and I caught the bus at Easter and went to tetbury, we had a great day out, prior to that a few of us got the bus to Bath last year, so a great spot for getting out and about

Spoken to WESTlink bus service this morning and yes they will accept dogs however there is a limit of 2 dogs per vehicle journey. Mention any hounds at booking stage.
