Won the battle of the bog continues

It's not payload that is the issue - just heaving the bu**ers about - and the glass dust coating on the upper surface is very abrasive if you let it slip across your fingers. I should have bought 25 mm thick ones instead of 38 mm - always prone to over-engineer everything I do!

What's your lift driving? Doesn't look as though it's sunk too much, can you not pull it out?

My lift left in August

I took a parting shot

Of leaving site for the day

Fully demoralised fed up

And wanting my tea

Good job don't have a cat

I'd a kicked it
thing is ,
an auto Fabia or panda wouldn't of pulled it out

As the rear wheels are joining in it's like

Treacle (wet soggy clay )

Everything you touch has it on it or running off
Gonna collect some rubble from home
And take it up there not today though
Seems we're getting ready for the grandikids

Used three pair so far
left me dirty cloths drying in the trucks bathroom

Think there is only an hour or twos labour left before its free

Hopefully son sat or daughter Tuesday will give me a lift

thought you may enjoy this also

I carry 6 pieces of a 25mm Galv mesh approx 450-500mm x 600-750mm which I place under the 4 wheels when ever I park on grass. So if its boggy I place the 2 spare in front of the driving wheels, drive onto them pick up the other 4 and place in front, and again and again till I'm out of the mire.
I stow them on the bike rack when not in use.

@tofo
Your biggest mistake was moving from the 'smoke' area to the country. Very picturesque, but the trouble with the countryside is, it's full of bloody fields and grass!

If you're short of a hand, you're only an hour's drive from me. I've got some of those plastic grid squares (from Tool Station) that I use when on boggy ground that I could bring with me. I've PM'd you my mobile # in case.

Thanks kindly for your offer

It is a challenge but so is life

No great rush to move it long as it's not blocking the tracks

Which it isn't

Site owner is away at the moment

He has a tractor on site he would probably assist

And I have a load of bricks and rubble

Left over from our renovations

So I thank you greatly for your offer
But it seems to be inhand
I will tap you if needed

Thanks again pm sent in reply

What a lovely kind thing to do! (y):) It amazes me at the kindnesses Ive seen people show on here...some of them jaw-droppingly so. Ive obviously been mixing in the wrong most disillusioning circles for far too long...thank you for the restorative gentle reminder that some people do have genuine hearts & do actually care...smiley huggs for that James :)

Ps Gosh I am rather emotional tonight..was going to scrub the above out..then thought better of it cos your comment moved me and I really had to say something....:)

where is it your stuck?

It's in an orchard with a farm shop
In kirby cross essex
no particular rush at present
To move it .
Tax runs out 28 February
Mot runs out on 20 th March
Long as I get it home before 19 th I'll be happy
Job for next week when the grandrats have gone home
Maybe a little less rain will help at the padi field
Gives me a while to get some rubble
Set in the mud to allow me to exit and return

I thank Mr sir wingman for his kind offer :notworthy2::notworthy2::notworthy2:
Especially offering help to someone he has not spoken to or met

If you see my avatar the book is "Duck in the Truck" and is a children's book about the duck in the truck that got stuck in the muck...... I just hope I don't end up in the same predicament :)

Yes, we have a copy - my youngest likes it. However, I think an X-rated version would be needed if our van ever gets stuck. Hubby would probably turn the air blue, and blame ME for choosing the location in the first place!
Hope all goes well, tofo.

I have a set of Mud Paddles for emergencies like this.
I found the yellow mats as illustrated above just get flicked out. No grip at all.

cheapest sand/mud mats are old bread trays with the sides cut off. really work well, and if you tie a rope to them, easily recovered from the mud or sand trap
