Wiper Motor Slows then stops after 2-3mins

Seems odd that the mechanic found nothing wrong with the old unit. It sounds to me like a poor earth to the motor !!!!!

I've got a Hymer B680 Starline 2012 on a Mercedes Chassis. The wipers will run but after 2-3mins they slow and eventually stop (same on all settings). The motor feels quite hot to the touch but if left for maybe 5 mins they will work again for another 2-3mins. I had a mobile mechanic look at this issue and he took the motor away to see if it could be repaired. Apparently the repair guy found nothing wrong with it and said it runs OK and he ran it for a while without any load. Its back on the van but the problem is the same. I asked if the linkages were seized but the mechanic said they were not. Does this sound like the wiper motor? Would anyone know how to find out what wiper motor part is used on these vans as I looked at Mercedes Sprinter motors for the yeat and they don't look like is at all?

Hi everyone, I’m new here and I just had problem with wiper motor , which stopped working but only worked on high level , so level 1,2 does not work and only level 3 worked. I checked online for new one but on eBay £350 lol, but found cheaper one with little different in connection.
And I found the problem with wiper motor on my one. I removed motor and I opened the black think and checked the electric carbon brushes which there is 3 and was still fine, but between carbon brushes and copper was very black things , so I cleaned , putting back and it’s work. So no need to buy new one. Thank you
