Fitted new 24" aero blade wipers on my Hymer. Got a problem on one in that it's bent/curved too much so the middle 4"of the blade doesn't touch the screen. Tried to bend them the other way but doesn't make any difference. I've had these for a few years so can't exactly return them.

Any ideas ?

The blade shouldn’t be that stiff and should easily flex to the screens curve. Are you happy that the hinge on the wiper arm (near the wiper spindle) is free moving and isn’t rusty/sticking. Might be worth a squirt of oil and work it back and forth (into screen, and away from screen) a few times.

"a few years"? get some new ones. I change mine every couple of years at the most.
Cheers, Dave

I thought the DL has 26" blades, on our DL I fitted aero blades the RHD (LHD van) didn't touch the screen for the bottom 3". It was OK with standard blades which were original fit.

Edit:
Just remembered I had your problem it was a sticky spring in the wiper arm, loads of silicone spray cured it

For the benefit of others reading this thread .I bought some replacement rubbers fro m eBay about 14 months ago..Universal fit .. didn't expect much think around £6 for 6 X 750 mm fitted a pair to the van still perfect, also put some on the daughters car..passed 2 Mots since and still good..both are kept out side in all weathers..so £2 for 2 and if they are small screens you can get 2 replacements out of 1 refill

Have you got a link please to the replacement rubber

A few years in a box in the garage, just put them on the screen, I'll have a look at the wiper arms/springs.
