Winter Motorhome Sites Costa Del Sol

Can’t help you on that one, as I have kept away from all that stuff, although my British passport runs out soon and from a purely travel abroad viewpoint l can’t really see a reason to renew atm. I have 6 years left on my Irish passport

Depends if you want to stay longer than 90 days out of 180 days in the UK.
The same rules that apply to UK citizens in the EU will apply to EU citizens in the UK
(Unless some other special agreement is made, which in the case of Ireland is very likely)

I'd suggest you ensure that you keep both passports up to date

+1. Snow Bird spend is a drop in the ocean compared to the spend per head of family week or fortnight summer holiday spend. Also the Germans, Dutch and Scandavians spend far more per head than Brits and they will easily fill up any empty space
Never see the above spending like the Brits ,there normally parked up on waste ground or free Aires ( some Btits too) it wil, be interesting to see what happens next year.

We are/will be no longer in the EU as of 31 December 2020. We lose our current ‘freedom of movement’ privileges at that point.

Thought that was shengen area. Which we were never in. Many people lived and traveled in Europe before the advent of the Eu . Why would it be any different after leaving? Many of my lad’s friends live in The Chamonix area. They are from all over the world. They don’t seem to have much trouble, why should we?

Presumably they have a work visa that allows their ongoing presence there?

I don't think you understand. You've had all this in the past and have now given it away. You're moving into regulations that already exist for non EU members, it's not something being implemented to punish the Brits.

As residents in Spain, with no vote, we've also had to look at how our lives will change.
Take Spanish citizenship then..Why should you have had a vote if you don't live in the UK. These rules will only effect a very small minority if they are enforced. BUSBY.

They say that you are what you eat.
There's a poster on here who would be better engaged with informing us what arsehole tastes like, rather than spouting drivel.

This site has a good shop restaurant and pool and is a short stroll to the beach

Ah yes... my mistake....3 months in Morocco and 2 months in Spain...even better....more money for Morocco less for Spain....or have a PROPER holiday and 3 months in each minus 1 week in Spain to shoot across France...even less money for them ?. Wonder if the French and Spanish will start to think “what have we done” and put pressure on their EU masters to entice back the Brits with “stay as long as you like, just bring your money” ?. Maybe...maybe not.
I don’t think so, unfortunately! The Motorhome sector of the Spanish tourism market is very small, what they want are the bucket & spade family holiday makers who stay for 2 or 3 weeks and spend, spend, spend in bars and restaurants on the costas.

Totally agree, what will Spain gain from Motorhomers wildcamping for weeks/months on end drinking the beer and wine from Aldi or Lidl, cooking their own food that was brought with them, then replenished from Aldi or Lidl.........Spain needs holiday makers in their 4 and 5 star hotels, eating in local restaurants, doing the tourist stuff throughout the summer....well that's if the doors will finally open, which currently is a little remote, no matter what the under pressure Snr. Sanchez is saying......

Hi there

Semi retired and picking up my new Elddis campervan in a couple of weeks, and hopefully will be travelling (solo) down to southern Spain later in the year to spend 5 winter months split between 3 or 4 camping sites

Apologies if this has been raised on another thread but would be grateful for a steer on good, well run and secure campsites to spend a month or so each.

My preference is for sites with a small bar, nice pool and perhaps restaurant onsite, not too far from the coast. Ideally a walk into a town.

Don’t ask for much !

oh, and coronavirus restrictions lifted of course
Good question....I can't see many recommendations though. I would be interested in similar locations. Anyone?

Because every other EU ountry gives the vote to all citizens regardless of where they live. Just like they supply all channels tv, unlike the UK. london is France's 4th largest city & they set up voting stations for all citizens in the UK. Just because we don't live there at the moment doesn't mean we aren't coming back or that we don't contribute to the economy even though we aren't there.
Spanish nationality would only give us dual nationality & the right to vote in which we were resident at the time but after the end of the year we would be able to vote fully in BOTH countries once non -eu.
