the air trap is to prevent bad smells coming back into the motorhome from the grey waste tank
I would be inclined to use screen wash tipped into the traps or really strong salt water.

The only drain I have on mine is under the oven, you have to take out the drawer under the oven and its there. Only recently found it..

I drained mine down by opening up the taps with the power off ,I opened the valve in the garage to empty the fresh water
There is a valve for draining down the hot water circuit ,this on my rapid is found under the sink ,look for a removable panel and lift it out , there is a small black valve and turn the lever 90deg ,all the water in the hw circuit runs out mid way along the van
The small black valve has a safety thermostatic control ,so if your mh drops below 5deg c ,the valve will open automatically and dump the water
It's important that when you refill the system that you reset the valve
