Wings and Wheels

THERE IS STILL PLENTY OF ROOM IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A FUN WEEKEND 6 / 7 /8 / 9/10/ 11 AUGUST

Still plenty of space - it starts two weeks tomorrow - PM or email if interested

There is a show of large model aircraft that weekend at York airfield (Elivington?) We are meeting up with our son and grandson on the 9th - they are going to the model show and I am going to the quilt museum. We are going by train but there is camping (no EHU) on site and the camping fee includes entry to the airshow.

May be interested in this wings and wheels but could only make Fri- Mon.
Can you tell me how to book?
Is it wild or is there EHU?

Thanks guys
John & Jan

Hi Baycott, you book through Landy Lover (Bill) of RVOC by PM, he will send you a booking form.
Fill out the form and return it to him along with a cheque for the required amoun tand he will supply
you with your ticket.
See the event information below.
Do not book through the events web site or pay on arrival at the show as you will not
get the discounted price.

Friday to Monday is fine, as far as I know there is no EHU available.
There are fresh water and waste disposal facilities.

Is it the same Wings & Wheels we're talking about? Dunsfold isn't until 23/24 Aug. This Berkshire one is this weekend? If it's this one have you left it a bit late?

Just returned home from this "Wings and Wheels" but in fact it is called Retrofestival.
It was our first Fun meet and although a small attendance we were greeted enthusiastically by Brian and Pamela. We were shown where all the important stuff was (loos, showers ect) and left to settle in.
We had a great time despite the bad weather on Friday and decided to leave this morning to avoid being washed out by the rain which had just started.
The show consisted of a lot of Americana, cars, caravans, 5th wheelers and RVs. There were also many stalls selling retro clothing and memorabilia.
Being held at an airfield there was a great flying display on Saturday.
We enjoyed our weekend so much we have already signed up with Bill (landylover) for next year!!!

Many thanks to Brian and Pamela for making our first meet so enjoyable.

We are now safely home after a great week end with the fun and rvoc Mob
Thanks to Marshells brisys and landylover and any more we did not meet
This was a great festival good daytime entertainment in arena and excellent bands at night time best was a local northern soul band " the all nighters"
We a have booked for next year already
Thanks to all concerned with this event
Peter and Elaine

We had a great time at the Retro Festival, it was good to meet up with friends old and new from both Fun and the RVOC. As has been said already, there was plenty to see and the entertainment was great. We saw great bands named Flikks, Ska Soul, the All Nighters and had a blast from the past courtesy of Geno Washington and the Ram Jam Band. The aerobatic display on both Saturday and Sunday afternoon was almost literally out of this world. How the pilot managed to throw that plane about the way he did, I do not know.
We will be back again next year, put us on the list Bill.
