Windscreen sun visor

Does anybody have a suggestion for a windscreen sun visor for an A class motorhome. The ones i can find on line are only long enough for cars.

Thanks in advance.
Do you mean pivoting down one like in a car or van or a tinted strip internally along the top of the windscreen or an external one that fits just above the windscreen?

Both of those are likely cabdidates but i am not sure 2m is wide enough. The van is 2.3mts wide without the mirrors. I cannot confirm the width at the moment as we are away. The screen is the same as you get on the big trucks and coaches.

I will contact the chaps above to see if they know of anything.

Have a look at www.magnumvs.co.uk they may have something or be able to help. (they do list a 2025 wide sunvisor , but it is for a MAN Truck)
That is one of those petmet type ones that is fastened at 90 degrees to the windscreen.

They do however have what they claim to be unbreakable side mirrors.

Unbreakable have been around for years
Shiney metal rather than mirror glass

Before fitting... check..

I was going to fit a sunscreen on the windscreen of my Ducato, but was advised that if it covers ANY part of the swept area it would fail the MOT ... when I checked the swept area it almost reaches the top of the screen, so no space for a sun strip ..

Hence the reason for a sun strip. Our unswept area is about 14 inches.

The top of the screen is quite high. You can lower the sun visors but it resrticts the view. You can also lower the night blind a bit but this reduces vision and cannot be lowered whilst driving for safety reasons.

Cannot see the swip of the wipers on the screen if they do reach the top of the screen and it does not effect the visibility you could consider shorter wiper blades to allow a vinyl sunscreen remember there are legal stipulations on tinted screens ans windscreen usually meet the maximum

Are these what you are looking for, we fitted them to the underside of the drop down bed. They can be adjusted
to the rake of the windscreen.

I can’t remember where we got them from but I’ll find out if anyone is interested.
We have drop down visors inside but the restrict the view. Driving down the road in the lovely valleys of France and Spain, all you can see is the road and not the mountains beyond.

I saw these on the Stedall website when I was looking for hinges the other day.

I have seen those in coaches. Problem is the windscreen in an A class is about 4 feet away from you so you could not reach it and it would also restrict the view.

I have emailed an auto window tinting company in Stoke on Trent. I will see what they come back with.

Is this what you want !!!!!!!! I had mine one done by a garage near Sunderland when I was touring Scotland in way up Can be plain or and this if letters on it. Although it now goes below the sweep of the windscreen wipers, I just got smaller wipers that just touched the bottom a little and you are allowed a small bit to encroach but I got smaller one for middle and smaller ones for left and right I think left and right was reduced to 20” and middle one reduced to 19”
Name and address and phone number of garage to will follow if required. Good luck 😉

yes it is a total itv failure here as well. I got pulled years ago on a tranist connect & had to remove it.
On this van I have an external one piece GRP visor bolted on which is legal
How about a quality pair of sunglasses.
Fit ANY size of windscreen and take seconds to remove when not needed.
I have prescription sunglasses , darkest tint legally alowed,No;3 , & at times here in the sun they are so clear that you think you haven't even put them on , yet look down & you cannot see the dash, sat nav, cameras. wife sitting next to you & god forbid when the "lights on for tunnel" sign appears you forget to lift them

buy two & join in the middle/to one side/somewhere.

I had them and they didn't change when driving, they only worked when the sun was shining on the lens..
Photochromic lenses work in UV light, which most car windscreens block out.
You need transition lenses. They work behind a windscreen.
