Windscreen blind repair?

The front windscreen blinds have ripped about a dozen holes off the lower steel guide rod.
Are blinds of this age available?
I'm guessing they're gonna cost a bomb and I'm toying with taking them off and bonding a repair piece about 20 - 25mm wide along the bottom edge where needed and ironing in the pleats?
Any advice please chaps.

What diameter is the lower guide rod ?, would ring binder hole reinforcers be any good ?

Unfortunately, I think it's been left too long for ring binder stickies and tbh, I'm not sure they'd be strong enough for a long term fix....good idea tho
