Wind speed for Travelling in a Motorhome

Can anybody help what is the safe speed for travelling in a Motorhome 7.5

If you are standing still 40mph won't blow you over, no matter what direction you are parked. It feels worrying - been there a few times - but not inherently dangerous.
However travelling on an open road the problem is how the crosswinds affect your track, it's very easy to get blown sideways, into another vehicle for example or even off the road. Your van will not overturn though unless it becomes unstable, that is taking avoiding action and swerving thus effectively changing the centre of gravity. THAT'S when trouble starts.
The best advice I can offer, after many thousands of miles driving large vehicles as well as our MH, is to keep the speed down so that inadvertent gusts don't cause you to over-control. It's loss of control that is the killer, plenty of Utubes about it. If you are still having problems maintaining a straight course then park up and wait for it to die down - or don't go in the first place.
I was once down to less than 20mph on a Spanish motorway and it was seriously worrying - I got off on the next junction and continued on minor roads where it wasn't so windy.

A lot depends on the type of road, surrounding topography and altitude. An urban motorway is a lot different to a high pass over open moorland. Another consideration are stretches of 'narrow lanes' where there is less latitude if hit by a gust. Overall, lower speed is the answer.

Hoping some more experienced chaps other than pilots might have better idea than me

We are all pilots at the end of the day. ..............And ..........The wind did not get that rough did it? ..............Having said that.....My garden did get get a new pool even though I did not order it!
