Genuine Question on how long it takes to get a new Motorhome ready for sale. Called two dealers this weekend both have brand new Chausson in stock (physically at the dealers) and enquired if an order was placed this weekend when could we pick-up.

First One End of April, the second one Mid-April I guess it needs a PDI check and being registered but surely you would want to get the stock out of the door asap but two months seems a bit excessive what am I missing?
And why would you not be preparing all your new motorhomes for dispatch as soon as they arrive ?

what about babymoon or what one of our staff just texted I meet a guy last night i'm still with him so not opening up sent at 6.30 in the morning for a 7 o'clock start . Eddie i should follow you and retire we are getting too old for these excuses we would have not got away with them.

When i bought mine ( off stock) i wanted March registration from december they would only do this with a 10% deposit. So visit last week in Jan still there so sensible negociations and pick up 5th march, however due to cock up registering it couldnt use it till last week of march.(took it home ontrade plates. Problems found on handover wern't all sorted untill June. So 6 weeks sounds Ok to me without issues.

Swmbo changes her car often. Invariably for new but in stock, unregistered but collects within a week. Seems only motorhomes that need weeks to register etc.

Busy workshops, with existing appointments for PDI, after sales, warranty work, customer accessory bookings, staff holidays, time off for gender assessment surgery, maternity leave, paternity leave, menopausal time off, pre menopausal time off, post menopausal time off, sick leave, self assessment sick leave, staff being absent due to teachers striking so no one to look after them, divorce or Honeymoon

Take your pick!
or its there WFH week

MHs usually have to be registered by snail mail not via the online system.

It's so they can replace the stock and have something on display to sell

Follow-up to this found a couple of dealers who can provide the Motorhome we are looking at within a couple of weeks rather than a coule of months as they have started the pre-prep work already on their new vans in anticipation of the March Rush.
