I suppose it depends on 'where' you want to go geographically...I'm struggling to find somewhere to go on Monday after leaving the Peterborough show.
They could be seasonal pitches, which they pay up front for and then visit when suits them.As a solo motorhomer I use the main club sites a lot as it works out cheaper, especially using the "old biddies' discount with the C&CC. I'm struggling to find somewhere to go on Monday after leaving the Peterborough show.
I'm currently on the Conkers C&CC site. I counted, from my seat, at least 6 unoccupied caravans last night, presumably parked for the season. Seems a little unfair to be taking up a pitch and not actually using it.
Having said that I know some sites will only put the caravan on the pitch when it is about to be occupied and keep it in a storage area, which is fair enough..
I don't really know how enough it works.
Yes, about 50 years before the Wright Brothers, I think.Chard….home of the first powered flight…..as the sign says on entry.
My son was so upset when Cricket St Thomas closed.

What are the pubs like - if any?Woodhall Spa
I can only remember seeing 1 Stephen (on the main road) & we gave up queuing to get in. The Tea in the Trees place is licensed & we enjoyed it and there was a couple of hotels I think just off the main road by the golf course. Not pubs as such.....What are the pubs like - if any?
My motorhome keys are on a Cricket St. Thomas keyring!Chard….home of the first powered flight…..as the sign says on entry.

Some friends used to manage the Golf Hotel... so never really got to patronise other establishments.I can only remember seeing 1 Stephen (on the main road) & we gave up queuing to get in. If you've not been to louth then that's worth a try, plenty of pubs & places to eat. If you can get in on happyford CL it's an easy walk or walk via hubbards hills for kerry. They go right to the edge of town. I'm sure Simon The Caller would be able to give you the lowdown on the pubs
I felt uneasy there visiting the pubs , I was out of town , I got the impression the locals are wary of visitors , the spoons is ok a large garden . I kipped I’m my transit on high street and tractors were going past at mid nite , very bizarre .What’s wrong with Chard, that is where I spent my school years.
I use that tune as my ringtone, it's called 'Battling Banjo's'(Banjoin the background)
It concerns me that you managed to write that all down, word perfect, from memory .....
