we are booked on the 27th as well and every intention of crossing unless we are physically stopped and made to turn around,

We felt a lot safer in Spain and only returned 2 weeks ago today, lets hope it wasn’t a mistake

i do hope you are allowed to travel and have a great trip and get away from all the crap negativity

Morals are fine, but regulations and guidelines are another.
If its allowed and you stay safe etc then why shouldnt you ....

it’s our intention to stay as safe as possible and I know with 100% certainty we can do that in Spain compared to where we are atm

We don’t have more than 30 people in the awning at anyone time and i’ve made a perspex shield whilst i’m behind the bar in the awning so feel very safe

Only when i fall over whilst being p!sssd up and knock the bar over do i feel at risk from others so i intend to be a little bit more careful

So I had to travel back to my Tier 2 safety this morning .

You will be stopped given the current bans which has just been announced. In theory the long ferry to Spain is still open but that might change in the next day or so.

I told them, I thought helpfully, they would be stopped by French immigration on the UK side and was rewarded with a sarcastic response.

So they can go to the Tunnel and back home again for all I care.

I know I am leaving myself wide open with that statement but I really think we would be safer in Portugal and if we do take a chance and travel we have no intentions of mixing with anyone on the way

Good company! Any new Staysure policy won't cover for any Pandemic including Covid. I got a yearly multi trip on 16th Jan 2020 so covered for Covid. Looked at renewing but first page says no Covid cover.

Plan A – touring around Portugal/Spain for all of Jan./Feb. was replaced some time ago with Plan B – touring around Devon and Cornwall for a month in Jan./Feb.. Last week, Plan B was then dropped for Plan C – touring around Cumbria/Yorks., Tier 2 territory (where we live), for a week or so in mid-winter. Plan D is now looking likely– carry on hibernating but park the truck outside the house over a winter weekend, just for a change!

I’m thinking that I may have done the right thing when I sold my van this year.. I’m now probably not looking at another till maybe next autumn as i think no one will be going anywhere for the next 6 months (its only getting worse) and it would have done my head in having a van sat on the drive doing nothing....

the virus mutates and has done so many times already and it’s getting better at infecting people..... how long will it be before it affects younger people much more then it does now..?

when all the youngsters are in hospital fighting for their lives and when there’s no one to look after us “oldies” we might, just might think of others before our selves......

There is. they are in a storage yard ,00's of them all shapes & sizes lined up in rows. My nephew keeps contacting them asking when they are going to be selling them off?
