Whitby Goth Meet November 1st to 3rd

I am sill hopping for the reserve list to not have my name on it :Rofl1:
April meet was a really good time.
 
Please put me on reserve list too i had sooooooo much fun will make some back up plan too just in case :Smile: Promise not to forget black wig :Doh:

Sorry their website is bit confusing on the left it says oct and on the right it says nov 5th so could be in with a chance

Let me know how you get on its a bit far out but with a few of us taxis could be a good option if we all share

We were on their Rally Field at Broadings Farm for the first Goth meet (a bit squelchy). There were definitely vans and tents on the main site. In fact Bob & Vals son Carl pitched his tent on the main site :thumb:

Hi Peter/Elaine

It's about a 20 to 25 mins walk into Whitby, we walked in and got the taxi back, only cost £5 for 4 people, so worth it.
site will be open for goth weekend and then close.

We noticed the site was open this year. There were tents motorhomes and caravans on it , though we never noticed any on the rally field.
If we couldnt get on the rally with the funsters for any reason , we'd go there. Preferably on the proper site though. The rally field can be a bit of a quagmire if it rains.
 
If you do book the site for November (which does get regularly booked up) dont tell the owner it's a rally as he may stop you from booking as a rally, book seperately.

Dont think he will allow a rally again in his field as he does'nt want it being plowed up (not that we did with 25 vans, takes about 30 vans no one got stuck) but book his proper site

It is going to be difficult at the november goth weekend as most of the campsites close at the end of october and there are signs up all over whitby saying no sleeping in motorhomes from 11pm to 6 am . ( also at sandsend cos i checked ).:Sad:

If there are any sites they may already be booked up with caravans , it may be worth asking at the marina if you can park there and make them a donation ..? :thumb:

Maybe a letter to the whitby gazette or the association of small businesses . Jim ?

Or a mass overnight park up by motorhomes on the car park in the harbour in protest . :Eeek:

It's largely because of people camping in the harbour car park (and others in Scarborough Borough) that the crackdown happened. People have done it in ones and twos for years but then at least one "club" did so blatantly :Sad:

Elaine is in a major flap she has set herself a 2 day theam
Day one is easy total goth slapper short skirt bum and bits hanging out
Day 2 is much harder she want a victorian full length dark dress and she cant find one she likes
She reconns that she wants a good quality one that can be reused on goth or fancy dress does and doesn't mind paying a bit extra for a good one not some party shop thing that will fall apart
Now I know you lot dont going getting excited any sarcasm will be dealt with
All sensable ideas please as I may have to tramp every goth or secound hand shop within 50 miles

Help me keep my sanity
