Which way up for lithium

It wasn't the individual Cells that make up the batteries I was interested in. But a standard retail 12v battery in a sealed case .
I have space to install the batteries longways up with terminals on thier sides.
It's just that in the 55 plus years of driving and messing about with vehicles it goes against the grain to change from convention.
Check with manufacturer how your batteries are constructed and how can you fit them. The reason is, some batteries are already with cells on the side in the box, but terminals up. Tilting them one way may put the cells upside down not allowed. But tilting on the other side will put the cells pointing up with terminals on the dide. This is important not to have prismatics cells upside down. With cylindrical cells doesn't matter.
