Which way do you park

I really would not worry about it at all. Just park whichever way you want to. We usually try to park facing the best view, so we can look out of our panoramic window and enjoy it.

If for more than one night I like to face East if possible, preferably uphill so the sink drains, and with my wind out awning facing south to get the sun.
For one night whatever gets me reasonably level without faffing about with ramps etc.

And what's a peg, I don't carry one of those.

I always reverse in . Try to keep sun off fridge side here in summer.

I've only ever parked in the direction that gives us the best view?!

but then there is the courtesy of not parking door to door with your neighbour

Is this another new unwritten rule?!

How does that even work though?

Motorhomes have doors on different sides, depending on the make/model? I've even seen a coachbuilt with doors on both sides!

Is this a windup?

Hi
Nose down if parked up for a few days....Shower tray empties...Result. I am sure a few years ago we had a c/van with two holes to drain the tray....Perhaps not.

What ever way you want out here in Spain (y)(y)(y)

Head above feet sleeping is enough:)

........the view?.............it's outside !!;)

I thought this would be obvious in parking with the sunny side away from the Fridge/freezer but then there is the courtesy of not parking door to door with your neighbour. Another thread just pointed out the need to avoid having full sun on the front non-double glazed windows.
So it looks as if I should park with the back of the van in the sun.[/QUOTE

Surely you can make that decision yourself.........or ask the Warden if that too difficult for you.

"....make decisions for myself" I think I understand Pelican. I assume that you are not married then.
"..... Warden?" I have not quite reached that age yet or do they have Wardens on some campsites.

>>> Which way do you park

The way the warden tells us to.

We try to park uphill as the fiat is nose down, so long as kettle stays on the hob and neither of us falls out of bed it'll do. like a nice view. people watching is a great pass time.

When there’s lots of space we tend to drive then stop.
If we’re on a marked site we sometimes have to fiddle around a bit then stop.
On a Funsters rally we’ll be told where to park by a member of Gilets jaunes!

With some of your posts I doubt that is true.

Well it's more or less true. Life is too short to get stressed by the pretty rare moronic warden. A nice polite "where would you like it ?" gets them on the back foot.

'It' being an inuendo I presume?

I have never encountered these 'Warden' things. Do they look anything like 'Traffic Wardens' or Parking Metres?

Here is a great free app for locating where the sun is at any given time of the day, helps when deciding which way to site the van on arrival.
Sun Surveyor Lite.
