Which dashcam

I am getting a lot of 'wobble' on the picture while driving in France and it is really getting to be a problem with the videos I hope to post later this year.
I've got a 312GW attached to the screen of our X250 coachbuilt using the suction mount up where the rear-view mirror used to be (got knocked off:whistle:). In the last week or so we've been over some rough roads up in Northern Scotland with the tarmac way past it's best before date and experienced very little shake on the video. When we had it dash mounted there was a fair amount of shake.
Before splashing out on a new unit have you tried repositioning the location or even using the adhesive mount rather than the suction one, assuming you are using the latter? A side benefit of our location is that the Remis blinds close around it using the spring loaded sections that went around the mirror mount.

I use a clamp fitted to the interior mirror arm to hold the camera firmly in place.

The camera I used before (Mobius) had the same arrangement and there was no 'wobble' on the picture.

When you go over rough roads you expect some bouncing of the camera and pictures but this 'wobble' is obvious even on flat roads such as Motorways.

I'm sure it shouldn't be as bad as it is but I wasn't able to get away in the Motorhome earlier before this holiday to check the quality of the pictures produced by this camera.

A suction mount on the windscreen would interfere with the Remis blinds and if my mirror arm fixing worked for other cameras it should do for this one.

Thanks for your reply.

I have used two BlackVue cameras in different vans and have never had any ‘wobble’ on the videos. The BlackVue attaches tight to the screen with adhesive pads.
The NextBase has a longer, articulated arm which holds it well away from its attachment point. I tried the suction and adhesive fittings, tightened everything up and still it wobbled. It’s caused by vibration.
I’m sure it’s OK in a car but in a van with hard tyres there is just too much vibration.

Must be lucky with ours then. Either that or the slow puncture I've just found:mad: (thanks TyrePal) is helping!
