Anybody recommend a good quality blow up awning, medium sized for a 2022 Adria motorhome ! Just so many out there, my ideal budget would be up to the £300 mark 🤷‍♂️ Regards for any help . . .

Have a look at the Aldi one, we have a SunnCamp (by Dorema) do be careful about sizes Driveaway ones are often to big for standard hardstanding pitches because of the tunnel width, you might find a non drive away better.

How about these in the classifieds.
You dont want to spend a lot ,because like most people you will most probably
hardly use it.

Sorry that should have been Star Camp not Sunn camp, but you can get a new one for £300ish

Thanku for that but we are looking at blow up's only, have seen the 4 Suncamps but are poled versions 🤷‍♂️ Ideally a good used Kampa Rally 200/330 without any sun damage or tears etc !
Would pay more with electric pump and groundsheet etc.

Nice, how do you find it good quality, as weighing up between Kampa and Suncamp 🤷‍♂️

It’s ok - we bought it because it was cheap and we weren’t sure how much we would use it. I am sure dometic are better but they were a lot more money.

£300? I wouldn't have thought you would get a blow up one for that.

We have a Kampa Pro. Its a beast of a thing. My missus loves it. It takes about the same time to put up as our pole Outdoor revolution one, but its very sturdy once erected. I am not so keen as it weighs a tonne

Yes the Kampa Rally Pro 330 would be my choice ideally, but as you say what with the weight and cost it may not be an option 🙈 I'm looking for an Intermediate option, as It won't be erected every time we go out. I'm also struggling for the space as I carry a Scooter in garage, so will have to go inside van, also to spread weight 🙄 Thanku for sharing that though 🙏

As most people buy an awning, use it a couple of times and then put in in the garden shed for 3 years before they sell it, there is usually a load of "Only three years old, only used twice" awnings of all sorts available in the classified section.

What most motorhomes end up with is a Quest Screen House (4 or 6) which can be put up, single handed like an umbrella. It also weighs a lot less and is considerably smaller in the bag.

Hi - that’s why we bought it from Lowdhams. It was literally the cheapest we could find, it is an air awning, hand pump included, it is very simple to put up, takes longer to peg it out. People still want £400-500 for a second hand Kampa rally as they are about £1000 when new, just can’t justify that outlay, you do need to check you get the correct height to suit the height of the rail/awning you attach to. They tend to come in low, med, high something else to be aware of.

Double action hand pumps are far more effective than electric pumps, don't flatten your battery if your not on EHU and cheaper 🙂

Yes I appreciate that, as I've measured my motorhome this morn and at Rear it's 263cm - Front 147cm to Thule cassette strip. Thule is 400cm in length, so would this be classed as Medium I suppose???
Initially looking for cover to dry dog off prior to entering van, but now wife want's to set up a table and chair's to sit and eat etc, as dinette is a bit limited on space, more so we invite our grown up kids down would be a problem.
How much is the standard Pro model then, and what size is it 300+ I'm guessing???

Above budget for you but I have one of these and it's very good quality. It's effectively a Vango Kela V made specifically for Amazon

So your's is the Lichfield California then, how old is it, and fit's up to a 290cm height. How much is it, and where are you???

We have the Dometic (Kampa) Grande Air Pro 390. Use it whenever staying in same place longer than 3/4 night, gives that extra space especially when we have our 2 dogs with us. I know some people knock awnings, but we really like ours and use it regularly, horses for courses etc. It was expensive, but we are in our 2nd year with it and it’s still like new. As others have said, keep an eye out on the classifieds.

Just looked at the spec for your m/h and unless you've had it uprated I think that you will be very tight on payload especially if you already put a scooter in the garage. Not trying to put you off but just giving a word of caution. ;)

Yes 3,500kg I know it will be close, but Scooter only 97kg and spare wheel 30kg, along with chairs, gas bottle, cadac etc, we have a 200kg limit in garage, quite generous really.

Have you got an awning rail, or are you planning to use straps that throw over van and anchor on other side. We bought an inflatable awning to use with our Burstner, but without an awning rail it was impossible to secure because of the curve to the roof

Another vote for a Quest - so much easier to erect than any other awning.

You can buy the attachment that connects it to the van if you really want it attached.

They won’t blow down in a strong wind, the worst that happens in a storm is the top pops down, but that’s only happened to us once, in Spain at the height of the Tromontana - a scarily windy night!

Hi we just had to return the movelite t3, driveaway awning, loved tye look and space
Unfortunately it was too big for our MH, there was too much tunnel space, as our size 265 was at the bottom end of the size bracket, which went upto 305 height, yes great space but big:rolleyes:
Anyway got a re fund, went for Dometic Leggera AIR 260 awning Which is half the weight and price, our choice to buy new, lots of deals out there, again its easier for me and hubby to put up:LOL: only one inflation tube, lots to think about
My only advice is check your sizes, we also have the quest pro 4, great bit of lightweight kit.. good luck

Yes have checked all the sizes thanku for the Info, I have a 7 meter van with 400cm Omnister Inc a seam rail. Was thinking of a 260-305, the Kampa pro look's good but one I've seen is £625 2nd hand, so looking at more of a budget blow up and the dometic leggera do look a decent quality, how is it for wind and rain, think it will last the duration???

Really good in the wind and does well in all but the heaviest downpour.

A good number of us have done away with the idea of awnings are are fans of the Quest pop-up day shelter instead. Great for extra space, robust and easy to erect, however probably not suitable if you are looking for sleeping space. Just a thought, love mine and I can easily put it up on my own.
