I've just been doing my spring clean and sorting the water out for the year. I have an underslung LPG tank with a volume indicator in the kitchen. The last time i used it it had 3/4 gas in it and now it's down to less than a quarter.
The fridge and heating can run off gas (or mixed) but they've generally been off (i've occasionally used them just to keep things running). If i had a leak surely it would be empty now. Is there something using it in the background i've not thought of? Does weather affect it when stood? Does the sensor have a problem?
Any thoughts or experience would be really helpful.
Thanks.

Sounds like you've just used it. Bit by bit. A dripping tap will fill a swimming pool in time.

If a leak it would be empty and you would smell it.

Cold weather and lack of use can affect readings as battery voltage drops - this affects what a sensor will say.

I wouldn't worry about it.

It could well be a slight leak
Everybody is saying if that was the case it would be empty.
Not necessarily......if it's taken 3 months to lose ½ a tank it could take another 6 weeks to lose what's left

A leak somewhere
Maybe needs new washers on the hoses.
Best to get some leak detection spray and check all the joints.
Turn it off at the tank and then back on again to see if it makes any difference.
